RAILS -TO -TRAILS

The Corry Junction Greeway Trail is located in Wayne Township, just off Hereford Road.  It is the first Rail-to-Trail in Erie County.

Construction will be starting soon on the Trail, and is to be completed by May 2010.  Horizon Construction Group, Inc. from Sandy Lake, PA won the bid.  They will be constructing sidewalks, changing the grade at Sciota Street to 3% to provide wheelchair access, utilizing fill & stones to augment the slope where Siimmons Road meets the Trail, constructing fences, doing clearing & grubbing.

The Corry Junction Greenway Trail runs through the beautiful Brokenstraw Valley.  Small streams, Tamarack Swamp, wildlife, trees and wildflowers make the trail a delight in any season.
